Waste to Taste is a sustainable waste management consultancy for restaurants in Dubai dedicated to reducing food waste.

First, we conduct a thorough analysis to assess food loss and waste in restaurants, giving a Waste Efficiency Score (1-5).

Next, we use the assessment data to identify areas for improvement.

Then, we develop a personalized plan to optimize pricing, implement sustainable practices, and minimize food waste.

Finally, we share the improved score on TimeOut Dubai, highlighting the leadership in CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility).

Time Out is a global magazine and “the ultimate guide to the best art and entertainment, food and drink, attractions, hotels and things to do in the world's greatest cities”, especially Dubai.

We have experienced firsthand the magnitude of food waste during the holy month of Ramadan in Dubai.

As stated by the Dubai Carbon Centre of Excellence, approximately 38% of the food prepared in Dubai goes to waste every day. This problem worsens during Ramadan. During the sacred month, the average per capita waste of 2.7 kilograms daily doubles to 5.4 kilograms, a whopping 60% increase in daily food waste. There is a crucial need for action as the lack of food recovery solutions, along with the inadequate policies and regulations to manage food waste, make it easier to discard food than to reprocess it in the city.
